Haunting History

The fort has many tales revolving around, there are stories that have come up to prove the haunting and curses right!

The Bhangarh Fort was built by ‘King Madho Singh’, the younger brother of Emperor Akbar’s general called ‘Man Singh’.

The fort was built only after getting an approval from ascetic ‘Guru Balu Nath’ who used to spend his time by meditating peacefully here.

As per the common folklore, the ascetic made the king swear that the shadows of the fort should not even touch the area of his meditation.

But unfortunately, the king could not keep his promise and the shadows entered the area of the meditation. This made Guru Balu Nath cursing the whole village to remain roofless and guess what, even if a roof is built, even in the present day, it collapses soon after! *Creepy*
