Annelise Piers is a dedicated advocate of yin yoga, essential oils, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) in achieving physical and emotional balance. Over the past 13 years, she has immersed herself in these healing modalities, earning recognition and expertise in her field. Annelise’s mission is clear: to empower others with the knowledge and tools to create harmony within themselves.

She holds the designation of ERYT-200 and YACEP, having earned qualifications as a Hatha and Yin yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance USA. Her extensive training in NLP under co-founder Dr Richard Bandler and the Society of Neuro Linguistic Programming (USA & UK, 2012-2015) has equipped her with the skills to harness the mind-body connection for transformative change.

Annelise’s Courses

1. Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced and meditative form of yoga. It involves holding passive poses for an extended period, typically ranging from 1 to 5 minutes or even longer. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin Yoga focuses on deep stretching of the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, rather than the muscles. The poses aim to release deep-seated tension in the body and mind. This can lead to improved circulation, reduced stress, and a sense of calm. It is accessible to practitioners of all levels, including beginners. It’s less physically demanding in terms of muscular strength compared to some other forms of yoga.

Yin Yoga Group Classes

Annelise conducts 60-minute yoga classes online incorporating yin yoga for different purposes. Classes are usually done in small groups.

Workshops are conducted over a period of 2-4 days with an hour or two of classes every day. Total class hours are between 5-10 hours. Annelise holds workshops that cover unique problems and yin yoga’s effects in effectively resolving them.

2. dōTERRA AromaTouch Technique

dōTERRA AromaTouch Technique is a proprietary technique researched and designed by Dr David Hill.

It involves the clinical approach to applying essential oils along body meridians and certain points along the back and feet to help balance the emotional and physical reactions in the body and restore homeostasis.

3. AromaYin

AromaYin is a combined practice of Aromatherapy and Yin Yoga that spans over 65 hours in total. Annelise conducts her AromaYin classes in Maldives and Goa in India.

This course lays the foundations of yin yoga:

  • Principles of the practice
  • 25+ yin poses
  • Functional alignment and variations for different bodies
  • Concept of Balance
  • Yin & Yang and Qi
  • Theory of Daoist Elements
  • Meridians and Dan Tien healing breath and mindfulness.

It also includes learning

  • How to identify, pick and blend aromatic essential oils, and how to work with different Elements and Meridians.
  • Specific oils for different acupoints and application techniques and their synergistic effects.
  • Daily 90-minute AromaYin immersion practice for each Daoist Element and Meridian.
  • Deep post-class dive into each learning with sequencing guidelines.

4. Buddha in the Boardroom

Buddha in the Boardroom is a signature leadership self-development program created by Annelise Piers. It combines the principles of yoga and mindfulness with corporate leadership facilitation. This program helps participants enhance their leadership skills, foster self-awareness, and develop a holistic approach to leadership, creating a balanced and mindful work environment.

It is a deep, personal exploration that changes limiting beliefs through closed-eye processes and bodywork. Annelise uses a combination of yogic sciences, metaphoric exploration and breath work. It has enabled leaders to be their highest selves at work and in their personal lives.
