Services Offers

Dr. Jayaprakash Bahuleyan offers several services at his retreat Ayurmana in Kerala. The most popular services are:

Weight Loss: This package is specially curated for adults. Rapid and safe weight loss is achievable with noticeable improvements in energy levels and muscle tone, as well as a better body shape.

This can also lead to a decrease in bad cholesterol levels and an increase in good cholesterol levels. If you are diabetic, you may also experience better sugar control. Additionally, these improvements can lead to a significant improvement in overall health and mood.

Diabetes Management: The Ayurvedic scriptures from Circa 1500 BC provide the oldest known description of Diabetes mellitus. The Ayurvedic Physicians called it ‘Madhumeha,’ meaning sweet urine, as the urine of a diabetic person would attract ants. The Charaka samhita and Susruta samhita described two major types of Madhumeha, Type 1 affecting youth and Type 2 associated with body weight.

The diabetes program primarily involves reviving and rejuvenating the beta cells of the “islets of Langerhans” in the pancreas to produce adequate insulin, and improving the responsiveness of body tissues, especially muscle and fat cells, towards the secreted insulin. Life style modifications and diet adjustments are also employed to control blood sugar levels effectively.

Stress Management: Dharma Ayurveda employs time-proven therapies that use specialized massages and therapies to release muscle knots, spasms, and toxins that have accumulated in the body. These therapies also help relieve inflammation. The release of muscle tension can also reduce mental stress.

The shirodhara sessions, where warm medicinal oil is streamed onto the forehead, are particularly effective in promoting relaxation and peace. These sessions can transport you to deep levels of relaxation and calmness.

Detoxification: Our body gets exposed to several toxins like environmental pollutants, chemicals in daily use-products, etc. Panchakarma is an ayurvedic detox program to reduce toxin buildup in the body from such sources. This leads to a better immune system and metabolism, promoting healing and improved well-being.

Hair Care Treatments: The hair program improves hair health, strength, and shine from the roots. It also addresses hair fall, premature graying, dandruff, and other hair-related issues, enhancing overall appearance and attractiveness.

About

About: Dr. Jayaprakash hails from the Dharma family, who have been practicing traditional Ayurvedic medicine for more than nine generations. His father, Dr. Bahuelyan, an esteemed Ayurvedic physician, initiated him into the practice at a young age. Dr. Jayaprakash furthered his studies in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and

became a pioneer in adapting Ayurveda to suit modern society and lifestyle, with remarkable effectiveness.

His work has played a significant role in the propagation and practice of Ayurveda beyond Kerala, both in India and abroad. In 1995, he compiled and published the “Doctors Vest Book of Indian Medicine,” which is considered the definitive handbook for practitioners of Indian medicine, including Ayurveda and Sidhha.

Dr. Jayaprakash’s life’s work has been an inspiration to many. He has explored and followed the true roots of ancient Indian medicine, unearthing many lost cures, treatment techniques, and modalities for several incurable diseases in the land.

His desire to give back to tribal and aborigine societies has led to the establishment of the non-profit organization, the “Centre for Development of Indian Medicine.” The organization supports tribal and aboriginal settlements in forests and remote villages such as Attapadi, Kallar, Mukkali, Maruthuamalai, etc., through free medical camps, treatments, and eye camps.
