Urmi’s childhood was filled with beautiful memories of her mother teaching music to young children. Urmi was lucky enough to be a part of a family of culture, education, and knowledge.
She started learning music from a very young age and had a chance to be trained by some of the
eminent musicians from different genres like PD Saptarshi, Sarish Bhatia, Ajoy Chakraborty, and Shanti Hiranand.
Read More Extensive training from different gurus sculpted Urmi into a versatile singer who was ready to expand her boundaries. Even though Urmi got her formal education in mathematics and computer science, her true passion was always music.
She got the inspiration of building a music school and community to promote Indian culture after meeting her husband on the IIT Campus.
