Utharikha Jewelers began in 1994, on the 1st floor of F-6 Spencer Plaza in Chennai. Spencer Plaza was India’s first mall. It provided an ideal platform for Utharikha to showcase their exclusive and magnificent Indian jewelry.
At the time, multinational corporations were establishing factories in Chennai. The city was expanding rapidly.
The foreign workers in these MNCs showed a significant interest in customized jewelry. Utharikha was able to meet this demand. Their exclusive designs, excellent client servicing, and sales etiquette impressed these people.
Read More Recognizing the high demand for Indian jewelry overseas, Utharikha organized exhibitions. They displayed the collections in United States, Malaysia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. As a result, the company was able to export its products to these countries.
They kept improving the quality and standards of the jewellery. The positive response from customers led to the opening of three additional showrooms within Spencer Plaza in just a few years.
